3 Mindfulness hacks you need if your a new entrepreneur

Mindfulness is the act of being present in the moment. It's about accepting what is happening to you, rather than resisting or rejecting it.

Here are 3 top tips to keep in mind to help you on the road to success!

1) “I never lose, I win or learn.” - Nelson Mandela

This means to take all your 'failures' and use them as opportunities to learn. What worked well? What didn't work well? And, how can you apply this or make it better next time?

Being mindful can be as simple as noticing how your breath slows down when you're sitting still in your room and saying “hello” to yourself out loud every time you see yourself in the mirror. There are clear benefits for entrepreneurs who adopt this approach to their work lives. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by negative emotions like anger and frustration after a bad meeting with investors or collaborators, mindfulness teaches an entrepreneur that they have control over how they react to these situations.

By practising mindfulness on the regular, an entrepreneur will find themselves reacting more calmly in distressing situations while approaching those opportunities with thoughtful consideration rather than knee jerk reactions based on negativity and fear. For making decisions about everything from how much money should be spent on marketing or what projects should take priority over others, mindfulness can help focus one's energy—and resources—on creating something bigger than oneself without getting caught up in self-defeating thoughts about failure.

2) Find your ‘Why’!

It's pretty common to start a business with the goal of making more time for family, or pursuing a career that you feel passionate about. However, taking this too far can hinder your progress. It's better to take a step back and figure out why you're doing something in the first place rather than what it will bring for you personally.

If running a small business or trying to switch careers isn't something that brings you joy but instead is something that is imposed on your schedule by necessity, then it may not be worth the sacrifice of spending less quality time with those who matter most in your life. Chasing money without meaning can lead to burnout and make work feel like drudgery over time. Is it really worth it?

Take the time to really think about what compels you when you wake up every day, and if you're honest with yourself, I'm sure there will be some underlying passion waiting for you to uncover it!

3) Always keep learning

It's no secret that this is an unpredictable industry. One day your Instagram account has a good amount of followers, but the next day it has forty thousand more. No one saw this coming except for you, because you knew better than to put all your eggs in one basket. A video that was uploaded just yesterday could have a quarter of a million views by lunchtime today—but it might get taken down immediately after.

If you want to be successful on Tiktok and other platforms, you need to be constantly learning and adapting in order to stay ahead of the game. Your best bet would be to read up on all the new trends and follow the creators who are already doing well. Take courses on YouTube or online; keep yourself updated with new tools and techniques; learn how to sharpen your editing skills or improve your production quality—whatever it is, do what you can to gain skills in multiple areas so you're prepared for any changes that might come along in this ever-changing industry.

As always, make sure not to spend too much time stressing over something like this—because there will always be another trend around the corner!

Practice makes perfect

Add mindfulness practices to your everyday life and they will not only help you on the road to success as an entrepreneur but in all aspects of your life!
